The comprehensive support of heads of state has played a decisive role in the emergence of the initiative for the religious‑spiritual solidarity of Turkic nations, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazada, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), said at the 7th Meeting of Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, Report informs.
Pashazada highlighted that the peoples of OTS member states demonstrate true examples of brotherhood by standing together in both joyful and difficult times:
"During the 44‑day Patriotic War for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, we witnessed Türkiye's comprehensive support. In reviving vandalized territories, in the Great Return to liberated Karabakh, Turkic states did not withhold their assistance."
Sheikhulislam recalled that Uzbekistan built a school named after Mirza Ulugh Beg in Fuzuli, Kazakhstan established a Children's Creativity Center named after Kurmangazy in Aghdam, Kyrgyzstan gifted a school named after Aykol Manas, and Turkmenistan constructed a magnificent mosque – all symbolic gifts of brotherhood with profound spiritual value.
He added: "It is a source of pride that leaders of brotherly Turkic states personally attended the openings of neighborhoods built by Azerbaijan in Türkiye's earthquake‑affected Kahramanmaraş region, as well as sites in Karabakh. The OTS framework breathes new life into centuries‑old traditions and guarantees future success for our nations. We, as religious leaders, benefit from the wise guidance and advice of our heads of state."
