Akharbach: Media's goal is to restore trust by combating disinformation

Today, the goal of media is to restore public trust while combating disinformation, Latifa Akharbach, President of Morocco's High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA), stated at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, according to Report's correspondent in Shusha.

Akharbach noted that media and state institutions share a common responsibility in the media sphere:

"According to research, 56% of people obtain their news mostly from social networks. However, this raises questions about how accurate these news reports are."

She noted that the main goal today is not only to combat disinformation but also to restore public trust: "Each country has its own unique approach and development model in the field of media and communication. This platform creates a favorable opportunity to share our experience and expertise."
