Participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku provides an opportunity to establish contacts with potential partners for further collaboration with both governments and international organizations, Afo Bidjo, Director General of Urban Planning, Housing and Land Reform of the Togolese Republic, said in an interview with Report.
According to him, Togo is interested in exchanging experiences with experts from various countries on issues of urbanization, land reform, housing provision, and the creation of a decent urban environment.
"We would like to learn about other countries' public policies on housing and urban environment and discuss practices that could be applied in Togo," he noted.
He also emphasized the importance of cooperation on sustainable urban development, building resilience to climate change, and improving housing policies.
