Afghanistan wishes to become observer in Turkic Council

Afghanistan wishes to obtain observer status in the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking Countries (Turkic Council) to expand cultural, educational, and economic cooperation with the member countries of the council, reads the letter of Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar to the council’s Secretary-General Baghdad Amreev.
Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, that the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Turkey Amir Mohammad Ramin conveyed the letter to Amreev at a meeting.
Amreev highly appreciated Afghanistan's desire to establish and develop further cooperation with the Turkic Council and its member states as an important step in strengthening regional ties
