Adil Embarch: Africa interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan

There are significant strategic opportunities for expanding cooperation between Africa and Azerbaijan, stated the Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan, Adil Embarch, at the event dedicated to Africa Day 2026: "Rising Continent, Emerging Partnerships" in Baku, Report informs.

"Africa and Azerbaijan share important principles and common aspirations, including respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, commitment to international law, support for multilateralism, and development of cooperation. We are convinced that there is significant potential for strengthening the partnership between Africa and Azerbaijan in such areas as training, energy, transport connectivity and logistics, education, tourism, innovation, and technological cooperation," the ambassador said.

Embarсh emphasized that the African diplomatic corps in Baku is fully committed to strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and mutually beneficial cooperation between Africa and Azerbaijan.

"On behalf of the African diplomatic community, I express our sincere gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan for their consistent engagement with Africa," the ambassador concluded.
