13th meeting of CICA Think Tanks Forum in Baku wraps up

The 13th Meeting of the Think Tanks Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has concluded in Baku, Report informs.

The event, themed "Resonance of Development and Security: Regional Cooperation and Governance in the Institutional Transformation of CICA," was jointly organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies.

The plenary session, moderated by Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies and Senior Fellow at the Shanghai Institutes, featured speeches by Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the AIR Center; Kairat Sarybay, CICA Secretary General; Ambassador Yan Wenbin from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department for Europe and Central Asia); and Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies.

On the first day, discussions focused on topics such as "Promoting Security Through Development: Exploring New Approaches to Asian Security Governance," "Supply Chain Cooperation in the Era of Green and Digital Transformation," and "Strengthening Eurasian Connectivity: Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Middle Corridor, International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), and Other Projects."

The second day featured sessions on "CICA as an International Organization: Transformation and Capacity Building" and a thematic panel on "Shaping the New Asian Order."
