Türkiye's hopes of advancing at the 2026 World Cup ended on Wednesday after a 1-0 defeat to Paraguay in their second Group D match, Report informs.
At San Francisco's Bay Arena, Matias Galarza struck from long range in the second minute to give the South Americans the lead. Paraguay were reduced to 10 men when Miguel Almirón was sent off in first‑half stoppage time, but Türkiye failed to capitalize.
In the group's other game, the United States beat Australia 2-0. With two losses from their opening matches, Türkiye can no longer qualify for the next stage.
