Taleh Babayev: National team dedicates European Championship victory to Azerbaijani people

Azerbaijan's national minifootball team has dedicated its victory at the European Championship in Bratislava to the Azerbaijani people, team member Taleh Babayev said.

According to Report, speaking to journalists upon the team's return home, Babayev said the squad had undergone extensive preparations ahead of the tournament and faced opponents who had thoroughly studied Azerbaijan's style of play.

"We prepared very seriously for the European Championship. All of our opponents had analyzed us well, which is why we encountered certain difficulties," he said.

Babayev noted that winning the European title had placed even greater responsibility on the team.

"That is why we prepared even better for the next matches. Reaching the top is difficult, but staying there is even more challenging. We dedicate this victory to the Azerbaijani people," he added.
