The Czech minifootball team is one of the strongest in the world, Taleh Babayev, a player of the Azerbaijan national minifootball team, told Report's correspondent in Bratislava.
He shared his thoughts on their 5–2 victory over the Czech Republic in the quarterfinal of the European Championship (2026 EMF Euro) in Slovakia:
"We prepared seriously for the match against the Czech Republic. They are one of the strongest teams in the world. The score should not mislead us. They are truly a good team with an excellent squad. Victory was destined for us. We dedicate this win to the people of Azerbaijan."
Babayev also emphasized the strength of their semifinal opponent, Serbia: "We will fight with all our strength in the semifinal. We want to reach the final. Serbia is also a strong team. We will play against the reigning European champion. We will prepare seriously for this match as well. Our intention is to make our people happy."
The Serbia–Azerbaijan match will take place today at 22:45 (GMT+4) at Tipos Arena.
