Ruzigar Ibrahimzada: Azerbaijan team will do their best to become champions

Azerbaijan's national minifootball team will do its best to win the European Championship in Slovakia.

Team member Ruzigar Ibrahimzada said this in an interview with Report's correspondent dispatched to Bratislava.

He shared his thoughts after the team's 3-0 victory over Italy:

"I am playing in the European Championship for the first time. I am very happy about that. We earned our second consecutive victory and advanced to the next stage. I also scored my first goal for the national team. I am glad that I was useful to the team. I believe this will not be our last victory. We will do our best to become champions of the tournament."

Ibrahimzada said they played more comfortably today than in the first match:

"We were more comfortable today compared to the first game because we had not yet fully adapted to the pitch. We had trained elsewhere. The first match of a tournament is always difficult, but after that we can show a better game."

He also touched upon the match against France in the third round of Group F:

"We never think about our opponents. We intend to do what we can at a high level. We are focused only on victory."

Azerbaijan, which beat Austria 1-0 yesterday, will face France on May 30. The Azerbaijani team currently leads Group F with six points. France is second with four points, while Italy is third with one point. Austria, which lost both matches, is in fourth place.
