Rodri wins Golden Ball at World Cup 2026

The awards ceremony followed the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

According to Report, Spain's national team, who defeated Argentina 1–0 in extra time, received gold medals, while Argentina's squad was honored with silver medals.

The awards were presented by US President Donald Trump, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney, Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum, and other officials.

Individual honors were also announced:

- Spain midfielder Rodrigo Hernández Cascante, known as Rodri, was named the Best Player of the Tournament, receiving the Golden Ball.

- Goalkeeper Unai Simón won the Best Goalkeeper Award.

- Defender Pau Cubarsí was recognized as the Best Young Player of the World Cup.
