Rodri keen on Real Madrid move

Manchester City midfielder Rodri is interested in joining Real Madrid, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez.

The report claims the Spain international has decided not to extend his current contract with Manchester City, which is due to expire in the summer of 2027. Rodri reportedly wants to return to Spain and continue his career with Real Madrid.

The 30-year-old has been with Manchester City since 2019, making 298 appearances in all competitions while scoring 28 goals and providing 32 assists.

Earlier, Sport.es reported that newly appointed Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho is eager to bring Rodri to the Spanish club.

On Sunday, Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the FIFA World Cup final, with Rodri being named the tournament's best player.

According to Transfermarkt, the midfielder has an estimated market value of €50 million.
