Neymar quits Brazil national team

Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, has announced his retirement from international football.
According to Report, citing Globo, the forward confirmed that he has played his last match for the Brazilian national team.
Earlier, Neymar scored for Brazil for the first time since 2023, converting a penalty in the team's 2-1 defeat to Norway in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
"I tried, but now it's over," the footballer said.
