Michael Essien: Transport is better in Azerbaijan rather than in Indonesia

"When I talked to my friends about Baku, they even did not know where this city is", - Sabail FC player Michael Essien told Russia's Match TV, Report informs.

The 38-year-old midfielder said that no one forced me to play in Azerbaijan's championship: "My relatives enjoy Azerbaijan. There is no traffic jam in Baku."

The footballer compared Azerbaijan with Indonesia: 'I have played in Indonesia for a few years. Transport there is 20 times worse than in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's culinary is very delicious.'

Michael Kojo Essien (born 3 December 1982) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for Sabail in the Azerbaijan Premier League, as a midfielder. He has also been capped for the Ghana national team more than 50 times.
