Liv Bona Dea Arena to be ready for start of 2026/2027 season

The turf renewal process at the Liv Bona Dea Arena stadium in Baku will be fully completed before the kickoff of the 2026/2027 Azerbaijan Premier League season, Report informs, referring to the press service of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).

All scheduled renovation work across the stadium grounds will be concluded by that time, the football association noted.

The stadium's newly installed playing surface features a hybrid stitched system, consisting of approximately 95% natural grass and 5% synthetic fibers. This technology enhances turf durability and prevents surface damage during high-intensity sports, such as football.

The new Azerbaijan Premier League season is scheduled to begin on August 14.
