Isayev: 'We went to win the European Championship'

Azerbaijan's national minifootball team player Vusal Isayev said the squad travelled to the European Minifootball Championship with a single objective - to win the title - a goal the team ultimately achieved.

According to Report, Isayev told journalists that the team's preparation was supported at the highest level, with all necessary conditions provided by the federation ahead of the tournament.

"We went to the European Championship with one goal - to become champions. The federation created all the necessary conditions for us," he said.

The Azerbaijan midfielder noted that the final against Serbia national minifootball team was highly tactical, with the opponent conducting detailed analysis of Azerbaijan"s playing style.

"Serbia studied our game very carefully. It was a difficult match, but we managed to come out on top in a penalty shootout and win the championship," Isayev added.

Azerbaijan secured the European title following a tense final decided from the spot, further strengthening the team"s status after their continental success.
