Azerbaijani national team starts next match at Valentin Granatkin tournament

Baku. 17 January. REPORT.AZ/ Today, Azerbaijani U-18 will play next match at XXIX traditional international tournament, dedicated to the memory of FIFA First Vice-President Valentin Granatkin.

Report informs, the team, coached by Tabriz Hasanov, will play against Estonian club for 9-11 places.

The winning team will meet with most powerful of Belarus - Moldova match to take 9th place. Defeated party will fight for the 11th place.

The next stage will take place on January 20. The tournament will be completed a day after this stage.

Notably, the Azerbaijani team ranked last of Group C. Losing to Lithuania 1:2, Slovakia 0:1, the team ended in a draw with Kazakh club - 2:2. In the fight for 9 - 16th places, the Azerbaijani team won Iranian national team 1:0.
