Azerbaijan national football team claims bronze medal in Islamic Solidarity Games

The Azerbaijan national under-23 football team played the last match at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkiye.

The team coached by Samir Aliyev played Algeria for third place.

As the match's main time ended with a scoreless draw, a penalty shoot-out was needed.

The Azerbaijani national team performed more accurately and claimed the bronze medal. The national team won 4:3 in the penalty shoot-out.
