Azerbaijan's national minifootball team is aiming to finish top of its group at the European Championship in Slovakia after securing a place in the next stage.
Report's correspondent dispatched to Bratislava informs that Azerbaijan national minifootball team head coach Elshad Guliyev said this at a press conference.
The specialist shared his thoughts on the team's 3-0 victory over Italy in the second match of Group F:
"It was a good game. I congratulate my players; we are improving from match to match. We intend to continue in the same spirit. The opponent are a good team, but once we increased the tempo, we managed to gain the advantage," Guliyev said.
He also touched upon the match in the third round:
"France are a good national team. We have played against them before. I believe we will be able to show ourselves in that match as well. We intend to become group leaders. We have qualified for the next stage, but we can finish the group with a better result."
Azerbaijan, which beat Austria 1-0 yesterday, will face France on May 30. The Azerbaijani team currently leads Group F with six points. France is second with four points, while Italy is third with one point. Austria, which lost both matches, is in fourth place.
