The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has postponed the meeting of Azerbaijani squad with teams of Liechtenstein and Malta for practices scheduled for March 23 and friendly matches for March 26 and 30 accordingly.
AFFA informed UEFA and Football Federations of Malta and Liechtenstein in this regard, Report says.
The decision came after the recent coronavirus outbreak and the fact that the World Health Organization labeled it a pandemic. Consequently, Malta canceled flights from several European countries (Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland).
Moreover, AFFA took such a step to prevent the risk of infection among players and delegates.
The assembly was expected to last until March 31.
