"The volume of non-cash payments in 2020 amounted to 118 million manats, increasing 10% compared to 2019," Report informs, quoting Chairman of Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Zakir Nuriyev.
Nuriyev said at the opening of the Fintex summit that the number of non-cash transactions accounted for a greater part of the total payments:
"Last year, the share of non-cash payments in total payments increased to 53.8%, which means that, for the first time, non-cash payments are responsible for a significant stake.
"Last year was also marked by a 1.5 percent increase in the volume of non-cash payments from 2019, to 22 percent. We hope that there will be a significant growth in the volume of non-cash payments in the coming years," he said.
