Visa: 95% of passengers opt for contactless payment

According to a research in 2021, 95% of passengers in Azerbaijan want to make payments contactless, Nurlan Hajiyev, country manager for Azerbaijan of Visa international card organization, said during an event on the topic 'Fintech-ecosystem in Azerbaijan - today and tomorrow'.
"Turnstiles for contactless payment have been installed at 14 railway stations in Azerbaijan. Currently, ten banks in the country support Apple Pay and 8 - Google Pay, and their number will increase gradually," he said.
