Value of BSTDB disbursements for projects in Azerbaijan reaches nearly €700M

As of August 31, 2026, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has signed agreements for 47 projects in Azerbaijan totaling 442.035 million euros, Report informs, citing the bank.
The actual volume of funds disbursed under 42 operations amounted to 697.58 million euros. Meanwhile, the BSTDB Board of Directors had approved 45 operations in Azerbaijan for a total of 444.488 million euros by the end of August.
According to the bank's reporting, the financial sector accounts for the largest share of the portfolio of signed projects in Azerbaijan at 50.29%. Energy projects constitute 35.23%, and the real estate sector makes up 6.92%. The share of projects related to consumer staples is 3.91%, while consumer discretionary goods account for 3.65%.
Major BSTDB projects in Azerbaijan include $75 million in financing for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and credit lines for Bank Respublika amounting to 25 million manats. The bank also provided support to the country's financial sector through Unibank and Azer Turk Bank, which received $7 million and $5 million, respectively.
