Value of Azerbaijani Central Bank's notes in circulation exceeds AZN 1.5B

The value of notes in circulation issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has surpassed 1.5 billion manats (over $882.3 million) for the first time since October 26, 2023, Report informs, citing the CBA.

On August 27, the total value of notes increased by 82.5 million manats (over $48.5 million) compared to August 26, reaching 1.525 billion manats (just over $897 million).

The CBA has been implementing a new monetary policy since September 1, 2022, under which notes with maturities of 28, 84, 168, and 252 days have been issued. Currently, the annual yields of these notes stand at 5.9%, 6.01%, 6.1%, and 6.21%, respectively.
