Vahid Novruzov calls for stronger audit cooperation among Turkic states

The rapid development of ties among Turkic states in recent years has made it necessary to expand cooperation and mutual integration in finance, accounting and auditing, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Chamber of Auditors Vahid Novruzov said.

According to Report, Novruzov made the remarks at an event marking the 30th anniversary of the Chamber.

He said the Union of Accounting and Auditing Professional and Regulatory Bodies of Turkic States was an important and promising platform created in response to this need.

"The Union's main advantage is that it brings together professional and regulatory bodies of Turkic-speaking countries for the exchange of experience, mutual learning and the implementation of joint initiatives. Alongside adherence to international standards, steps should also be taken to develop the Turkic states' own professional cooperation model in auditing and accounting," Novruzov said.
