US national debt reaches record high

The US external debt has reached a record high of $ 26 trillion, which is associated with actions taken to combat the coronavirus, Report says, citing SBS.
"Since Donald Trump took over the White House, the national debt has grown by $ 6 trillion," the TV company stressed.
Notably, since May 5, the debt has increased by 1 trillion us dollars.
In late March, Trump signed into law more than $ 2 trillion in economic stimulus measures in the face of the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
On April 21, the US Senate approved another package of measures worth almost $ 500 billion.
