Turkish lira dips to record low

The Turkish lira rate against the US dollar fell 1 percent to a new all-time low of 8.59 lira per US dollar, Report informs, referring to trading data.
As of 11:32 a.m. (GMT+4), the US dollar rate against the Turkish lira grew by 1.02 percent to 8.5837 lira per dollar. Minutes earlier, the rate rose to 8.5911 lira, which is a new historical record.
The previous record of 8.5876 lira per US dollar was set on November 6, 2020.
