EBRD updates investment portfolio in Azerbaijan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has invested 3.367 billion euros in 181 projects in Azerbaijan so far, Report informs, citing the EBRD.

According to the indicators disclosed by the bank in February, the number of projects increased by one, and the amount of the investments was 49 billion euros.

The share of the private sector in the EBRD's investment portfolio is 12%.

The EBRD currently has 33 active projects in Azerbaijan. The portfolio of these projects is 817 million euros (+12 million euros).

Of this, 88% or 721 million euros (+10 million euros) fell to the share of infrastructure projects, 9% or 71 million euros (+1 million euros) to the share of industry, trade, and agribusiness, and 3% or 24 million euros (unchanged) to the share of financial institutions.

The EBRD's investment in Azerbaijan amounted to 1% of the bank's total portfolio.
