Russia's external debt rises by $6.5 billion

Russia's external debt stood at $313.3 billion as of July 1, increasing by 2.1% since the beginning of the year, according to Russian media, cited by Report.

"According to the Bank of Russia's estimate, the external debt of the Russian Federation amounted to $313.3 billion as of July 1, 2026, increasing by $6.5 billion, or 2.1%, since the beginning of 2026. The external liabilities of other sectors and the banking system increased most significantly," the Central Bank of Russia said in a statement.
