Azerbaijan sees rise in problem loans in 2021

The volume of overdue loans as of April 1, 2021, amounted to 918.2 million manats ($540.4 million) in Azerbaijan.
Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that this figure is 0.1% more compared to that of March 1.
Non-performing loans increased by 2.8% compared to the beginning of the year but showed a decrease of 32.9% compared to a year earlier.
At the end of March, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 6.2%. This figure was 6.1% at the end of last year and 8.9% at the end of March last year.
