Net internal assets of Azerbaijani banks fell by over 5% in July

As of August 1, 2025, Azerbaijani banks held net foreign assets totaling nearly 26.493 billion manats (approximately $15.584 billion), Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This amount represents a 1.4% increase month-on-month, a 0.6% drop from the beginning of the year, and a 6.5% growth compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, the net internal assets of Azerbaijan"s banks for the reporting period exceeded 21.187 billion manats (almost $12.463 billion). This represents a 5.2% decline month-on-month, a 6.5% increase from early 2025, and a 5.75% surge year-on-year.
There are 22 banks with total assets of just over 55.7 billion manats ($32.764 billion) operating in Azerbaijan.
