Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks up by 19%

As of April 1, 2024, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 25,523.8 million manats (about $15 billion), Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA’s data, the current value is 3.4% higher than the previous month, 1.2% higher than the beginning of the year, and 18.8% higher than in the same period of last year.
By the end of March 2024, the net internal assets of the country’s banks stood at 19,306.5 million manats (about $11.35 billion), which is 3.9% less than the monthly comparison, 2.8% than the beginning of the year, and 1.5% than the same period in 2023.
Overall, 23 banks operate in Azerbaijan.
