Net foreign assets of Azerbaijan’s banks up by over 15% YoY

As of February 1, 2025, Azerbaijani banks held net foreign assets totaling approximately 28.318 billion manats (over $16.657 billion), marking a 6.4% increase in monthly, a 15.3% growth year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

Additionally, as of the same date, the net internal assets of Azerbaijan’s banks stood at just over 17.246 billion manats (approximately $10.145 billion), reflecting a 13.3% monthly decrease and a 15.2% YoY decline.

Overall, Azerbaijan is home to 22 operating banks.
