Nakhchivan bank deposits jump 45.4% year on year

Bank deposits of the population in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan stood at 40.7 million manats ($23.9 million) as of March 1 this year, the region's State Statistics Committee said, Report informs.

It said the figure was up 45.4% compared with the same date last year.

Deposits in national currency accounted for 94% of the total, while 6% were in foreign currency.

Compared with a year earlier, deposits in national currency rose 46.2%, while those in foreign currency increased 34%.
