"Moody's": Azerbaijani economy will grow by 1.8% next year

Baku. 25 May. REPORT.AZ/ Economic growth rate in Azerbaijan will be -1% this year and +1.8% next year.
Report informs, CIS banking analyst of "Moody's" rating agency Peter Paklin has said.
According to Paklin, the government of Azerbaijan can soften the harsh fiscal policy: "If oil price will be above $ 50 the government can soften the harsh fiscal policy. This will help to increase the GDP. "
Analyst said that the government provided assistance to banking sector: “In 2015-2016, government of Azerbaijan gave financial support to banking sector in the amount of 18% of GDP. Major assistance was given to International Bank of Azerbaijan”
