Mikayil Jabbarov: IsDB is strategic partner for Azerbaijan

Within the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), infrastructure projects, and renewable energy remain priority areas, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stated, Report informs.
Speaking during a dialogue session with the Chairman of the Board of Governors under the theme Azerbaijan as Host and Coordinator: Green Transformation, Regional Integration, and Strategic Partnership at the bank's 51st Annual Meeting, Jabbarov noted that increasing the share of industrial production and renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan's economic development is a key focus.
"Strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises is one of the main priorities in this direction. This is an issue related to private sector development. We are working jointly to expand access to financial resources and enhance skills and competencies," he said.
The minister emphasized that infrastructure projects also play a crucial role in public sector cooperation: "The application of public-private partnership models and the development of modern infrastructure will remain in focus in the future. In preparing and implementing strategies aligned with Azerbaijan's national development priorities, IsDB continues to be a reliable partner. IsDB is not only a financial partner but also one of Azerbaijan's key partners in shaping ideas and executing projects."
