Mikayil Jabbarov: Cooperation with IDB played important role in Azerbaijan's development

Cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) has played a significant role in Azerbaijan's development, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at a dialogue session during the 51st Annual Meeting of the IDB in Baku, Report informs.

According to the minister, the participation of IDB Group President Muhammad Al Jasser in the event is of great significance, and holding the bank's annual meetings in Azerbaijan is a source of particular pride for the country.

"The quality of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the IDB, as well as our vision for the future, are based on relationships built over many years. The IDB has supported Azerbaijan since the first years of its membership in the organization. The Bank has made a significant contribution to the dynamic changes, development, and modernization processes taking place in our country," Jabbarov emphasized.

The minister of economy noted that the parties intend to continue to consistently develop their cooperation.

"We highly value the results achieved to date. In the coming period, we look forward to implementing even more joint projects with the IDB and further expanding our cooperation. Private sector development is currently a priority for both the bank and its member states, and there are significant opportunities to further strengthen our partnership in this area," the minister stated.
