London Stock Exchange mulls Azerbaijani companies' access to international capital markets

The London Stock Exchange is discussing the entry of Azerbaijani companies into international capital markets and sees interest in them from foreign investors, Ayuna Nechaeva, Head of Primary Markets Europe at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), said at the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku, Report informs.

Nechaeva shared that during her previous visit to Baku, alongside the country's Prime Minister, she held meetings with Azerbaijani government ministers, representatives of the economic sector, the Baku Stock Exchange, and leading domestic companies.

"There is a real, genuine interest here. It comes not only from Azerbaijani companies considering entering international capital markets. Foreign investors, including those in London, are also interested in fast-growing markets that offer new, high-quality opportunities for portfolio diversification," she said.

According to her, the London Stock Exchange can serve as a gateway for Azerbaijani companies to the international investor community.

"For us, this is also a good business opportunity," she emphasized.
