IsDB president: Azerbaijan became ideal platform for developing trade and investment

Azerbaijan's growing role as a link between regions and markets makes the country an ideal venue for a forum dedicated to the development of trade, investment, and regional integration, Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) President Muhammad Al Jasser said at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Private Sector Forum, held as part of the Bank Group's annual meetings in Baku, Report informs.

"First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the government and people of Azerbaijan for the warm hospitality and excellent organization of the 2026 Islamic Development Bank Annual Meetings. I also thank the Ministry of Economy for its invaluable partnership, close cooperation, and tireless efforts to ensure the success of this business forum.

This forum is much more than just an annual event. It is a dynamic platform where dialogue turns into concrete actions, ideas into investments, and partnerships move from intentions to practical implementation. Here, governments meet with market participants, entrepreneurs meet with financiers, and ambitions are given real opportunities to materialize," the IDB president emphasized.
