Investment in Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas economy up by 8%

From January to August 2025, investments in fixed capital in Azerbaijan totaled 11.37 billion manats ($6.69 billion), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This marks a slight decline of 0.2% compared to the same period in 2024.

According to the data, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 16.6%, while investments in the non-oil and gas sector increased by 8%.

Of the total amount invested:

  • 5.8 billion manats ($3.41 billion) (51%) were directed to production sectors,

  • 3.82 billion manats ($2.25 billion) (33.6%) to service sectors,

  • 1.75 billion manats ($1.03 billion) (15.4%) to residential construction.

Domestic investments accounted for 8.75 billion manats ($5.15 billion) or 77% of the total.

Additionally, 8.99 billion manats ($5.29 billion) (79%) of the total investment went directly to construction and installation works.
