Interest of investors in financial sector sharply reduced in Azerbaijan

Baku. 9 January. REPORT.AZ/ In January-November 2016 in Azerbaijan, investment in finance and insurance sector in Azerbaijan decreased by 86.3% and amounted to 2.6 mln. AZN.

Report informs referring to the official statistics, it makes 0.02% of the total volume of investments in Azerbaijan's economy.

Notably, in 2015, investments in the finance and insurance sector amounted to AZN 19.8 million (0.1% of total investments) in 2014 - 23.2 million AZN (0.1%), in 2013 - 12.0 million AZN (0.07%), in 2012 - 76.9 million AZN (0.5%).

Notably, in January-November of 2016 13 009.1 million AZN directed to the development of economic and social spheres from all financial sources, which is less by 28.0% less than the corresponding period 2015. Investments in the public sector accounted for 33.0%, private sector - 67.0% of total investments.
