Gold hits record high, surpasses $3,300 an ounce

The price of gold futures for June 2025 delivery has reached a historic high, breaking above the $3,300 mark per troy ounce on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange), Report informs, citing trading data.
The price of the precious metal climbed by 1.81% to $3,302.70 per troy ounce, before slightly easing to $3,300.60—still up 1.74% for the session.
