Gold falls ahead of US Fed minutes

Gold prices fell ahead of the Federal Reserve's minutes, Report informs referring to exchange data.
The price of August gold futures on the New York Comex exchange fell by $20.68 from the previous close, or by 0.62%, to $3,296.22 per troy ounce. September silver futures rose by 0.06% to $36.773 per ounce.
Later on Wednesday, the minutes of the June meeting of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) of the US are scheduled to be published, following which the regulator is expected to keep the base rate at 4.25-4.5% per annum.
