Gazprombank announces growth forecasts in Uzbekistan's economy by 2025

Gross domestic product (GDP) production in Uzbekistan is expected to increase by 5.8% this year, and by 6.5% in 2024, said Gulnara Khaidarshina, Deputy Head of the Research Department of Gazprombank OJSC of Russia, Chief Economist for CIS countries, Report informs.
In the last two years (2021-2022), GDP growth in this country was 7.4% and 5.7%, respectively.
"The Development Strategy of Uzbekistan until 2026 was approved. The main goal of the strategy is to improve industrial production by 40% and export to $30 billion. The increase in exports is expected to be provided mainly at the expense of high-value-added products. It is planned to raise the export geography from 115 to 150 countries," Khaidarshina said.
