Fitch forecasts Azerbaijan’s fiscal balance to remain in surplus in 2019

Baku. 18 February. REPORT.AZ/ Fitch Ratings forecasts the fiscal balance to remain in surplus in 2019 at 3.4% of GDP, Report informs citing the Fitch Ratings.
‘The 2019 government consolidated budget complies with the fiscal rules adopted by parliament in 2018 and provides for a moderate increase in consolidated spending, including a 3.6% rise in SOFAZ transfers to the state to AZN11.4 billion, compared with a 13% rise in the 2018 revised budget’, the agency said.
Fitch assumes that Azerbaijan will continue to experience broad social and political stability
