Finance Minister: "Azerbaijan prevented deep recession in economy"

"Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the 44-day war, the global economic crisis, the sharp decline in demand for oil and its prices, macroeconomic stability has been maintained in our country as a result of President Ilham Aliyev's far-sighted economic policy and flexible steps," Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said at the plenary meeting of the parliament, Report informs.
“Social and economic commitments have been fulfilled. The impact of the pandemic on the country's economy has been reduced. Thanks to operative measures, our country has emerged from the shocks of 2020 and the deep recession in the economy has been prevented. The exchange rate of the manat has remained stable,” he said.
