EBRD renews investment portfolio in Azerbaijan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has invested 3.39 billion euros in 181 projects in Azerbaijan so far, Report informs, citing the EBRD.

According to the indicators disclosed by the bank in April, the number of projects is not changed, and the amount of the investments was increased by 35 billion euros.

The share of the private sector in the EBRD's investment portfolio is 12%.

The EBRD currently has 33 active projects in Azerbaijan. The portfolio of these projects is 823 million euros (+12 million euros).

Of this, 88% or 724 million euros (+7 million euros) fell to the share of infrastructure projects, 8% or 69 million euros (-1 million euros) to industry, trade, and agribusiness, and 4% or 30 million euros (+6 million euros) to financial institutions.

The EBRD's investment in Azerbaijan amounted to 1% of the bank's total portfolio.
