Baku. 12 January. REPORT.AZ/ The main currency pair in the global market USD/EUR rate reached 1,2125, the highest level since December 2014.
Report informs, the growth was caused by news about preliminary positive results to form a coalition government in Germany.
The preliminary agreement achieved between German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats and Social Democrats to form a coalition government increased the price of euro.
Analytical Group of Report News Agency predicts that in 2018 euro will continue to fluctuate against USD at range of 1.15-1.25: “Though there are no substantial reasons for this range, the current rate will play an important role for rise of US inflation and Fed's interest rate. As a result, in coming years we will witness the rapid devaluation of euro.”
