Demand for mortgage loans in Azerbaijan grows 23%

In the second quarter of 2023, demand for mortgage loans in Azerbaijani banks increased by 23%, Report informs referring to the results of a survey on lending by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the survey, in the second quarter, demand for domestic mortgage loans from banks increased by 2%, and for loans from the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund by 19%.
Azerbaijani banks expect an increase in demand for mortgage loans in the third quarter by 23%, including by 8% for domestic mortgage loans, and by 27% for the loans of the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund.
