Central banks of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan mull improving monetary policy

The central banks of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have discussed improving their monetary policy frameworks, Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

A CBA delegation visited Uzbekistan on a working visit, during which they held talks at the country's Central Bank.

During the meetings, the parties exchanged experiences in the strategic and operational mechanisms of monetary policy, the decision-making process, and the central bank's communication policies.

Furthermore, the participants discussed areas for further improvement of monetary policy mechanisms, taking into account new global challenges.

The talks also touched on strengthening analytical capacity and prospects for continued cooperation between the two financial regulators.
